Old Tired Guys Club

I imagined the complete discography of a rock band that never existed.

The project follows four fictional albums — Too Old To Stage Dive, Still Loud, Slightly Bent, All Edge, No Stamina and Punk Adjacent — each representing a different moment in the band’s imaginary career.

Through the album covers, fake press reviews and a fully invented biography, I wanted to explore the visual language and mythology of rock culture, while playing with nostalgia, ageing, self-deprecation and the slightly less glamorous realities of still wanting to be in a band.

The aim was to build a fictional universe detailed enough to feel believable: a band you might almost remember hearing about, or seeing play in a pub somewhere in Manchester.

The series was created for a group exhibition at @laboulangeriebar, alongside Sophie @bleue_brut and Justin @greenfather, who each developed their own fictional bands.
